Tandem had the unique challenge of designing a five-bedroom, four-and-one-half-bathroom home on a lot straddled with two delineated wetlands, and a regulated stream, while observing all required setbacks and zoning restrictions, perched approximately 25’ above Grand Traverse Bay.
In order to encompass the programmatic needs, while adhering to strict zoning regulations, the design resulted in a dramatic and contemporary assemblage of spaces that stack and shift, creating a dynamic interior flow, while allowing every bedroom and public space to enjoy the views that the site provided.
Tandem was the developer and architect for this project.
